UK-based indie author Kevin Cooper shares his experience with Amazon’s review policy and asks critical questions of fellow authors about product reviews.

It’s a one-way stream with Amazon. [Knock on wood], I haven’t had any reviews taken down, or refused, but I believe that it’s only a matter of time as I hear from other authors all over the globe that they have. However, I have noticed fewer reviews on some of my own works and have consequently gotten into touch with fellow authors asking about their experience.

Does Amazon inform you when they take down one of the existing reviews you’ve written for someone? Do they inform you when they take down a review from any of your own works?
